The client brief was to have a simple ethinic design which will stand out of the crowd. There was no compromise in the design even though the budget was limited. ENSEMBLEE’s  design solution was a custom built home with a rustic design theme with each element hand picked and hand crafted and sourced from various part s of the country. Care was also taken to have represent elements of design of the client’s preferences.

All the furniture was custom designed and hand crafted in solid wood giving the home a very earthy aura. The furniture was sourced from various parts of the country to have authentic The over all design was done to maximize the natural light into the house. Thereby the apartment was made to have a feeling of an independent Villa. The lighting was done with emphasis on diffused warm light. The lighting was done using designer handcrafted lampshades with a lot of emphasis on the craft. Various accents were created within the house to accentuate and punctuate the focus areas. This included a Buddha nook which was the welcoming view from the main entrance. This focal point was expanded visually with a mirrored wall with invisible storage, with the stone carved Buddha in the fore ground. This base building had a large balcony and this was designed as an expansion of the master bed room space and treated to look natural with bamboo ceiling, hanging bells painted in bright colours and cozy diwan seating The furnishing and fabrics were also chosen in ethnic bright colours to go with the theme. The colour scheme was walnut finish furniture with white and beige on the ceiling, textured walls and floors. The furniture was handcrafted posted cots with hanging white curtains, and diwans of in solid wood, Flooring was done is single coloured beige vitrified tile across the house. The drapes were in cotton with ethnic earthy shades to match interiors. The interior also had elements of brass and wooden to create certain focus areas.
