The house was designed so that it look simple, contemporary, with minimal details and colours. The client brief was to have a minimalistic contemporary design which will stand out . The design reflected contemporary ambience with ventilation, interplay of lights and levels. Living, dining, family living, pantry, studystair court, study court and water court flow each other creating ambient spaces. Courtyard with waterbody and fountain is a focal point. Furniture and elements are designed minimal and hand crafted. Wood colour, grey and whites are only used in the design as highlights. Flooring is a mixture of beige Italian marble and wooden flooring. Natural elements such as natural granite stone is used throughout the design as solid walls, show walls, fountain walls etc. Oriented in such a way that wind flows in east west axis through the house via pergolaed slit windows and cools the entire house. House is oriented to capture maximum light from east. Skylighted vertical and horizontal pergolas, a feature throughout the design provides light till 7pm.Water court, stair court and study court lits the entire house.
